The PADI Rescue Diver course is the most challenging and rewarding PADI course available, and introduces the necessary skills required in the unlikely event of a diving incident.
The course will build your confidence as a diver, give you valuable experience in emergency management and prevention and heighten your awareness of the surrounding environment.
You will learn the techniques needed to deal with tired, panicked, unresponsive and unconscious divers. This is developed through to worst case scenarios and in water resuscitation techniques.

What will I do?
The course structure is modular consisting of Knowledge Development, Confined Water training sessions and Open Water Dives.
Knowledge Development is based on a self-study method, allowing you to study in your own time, at your own pace, backed up by a classroom session with a PADI Instructor, to ensure full understanding of rescue theory.
Confined Water Dives - there are a minimum of four confined pool sessions where you will develop problem solving and accident management techniques. These skills are performed in a realistic but enjoyable way giving the candidate the solid foundations of understanding and successfully managing any problem. There will be lots of time to practice in group scenario situations and role-playing exercises.
Open Water Dives - there are two Open Water Rescue Scenarios to complete, over one day. These accident scenarios give students the opportunity to apply all of the skills that were practiced in confined water, in a more realistic setting.
