Ever wonder what it would be like to go deeper, explore new dive sites and dive with a twin set? If so then Discover Tec Diving is for you.

Our PADI Discover Tec Diving session is conducted under the supervision of our PADI technical instructor who will show you, where technical diving could take you in the future! It's aimed at giving you a taste of what it’s like to dive with a twin set and an insight into the world of technical diving. 

Discover Tec Diving Pre-Requisites

  • Minimum age 18.
  • Students must be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Junior Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organisation.
  • All participants must download and complete the PADI Medical Disclaimer Form prior to participation. Any pre-existing medical conditions highlighted on this form will require medical clearance before we can allow you to take part.

What's included?
The session fee includes main equipment hire, air, tuition and swimming pool fees. Not entry fees to inland dive sites.

You must have your own mask, fins and exposure suit. The technical diving equipment you will use, including but not limited to - two tanks, primary and backup regulators, and technical diving BCD and harness or sidemount harness.

Course Duration
Discover Tec Diving experience lasts for 60 mins one pool session.
1 Open Water Dive - 1 Day at a UK inland dive site

How do I sign up? 

  • Download, complete and email the PADI Medical Disclaimer Form to info@jcscuba.net.  
  • Payment is required with the booking to secure your place.
  • Once your order comes through we will check the calendar and advise you of our next available date.  

What will I do?
You will learn how to plan, set-up and execute deep dives, manage your gas supply and learn how to identify and manage narcosis. The experience consists of one pool session where you will get a chance to use the equipment and practice some tec skills ready for the open water. Then it’s into an open water dive where you can fully experience what it’s like to dive with a twin set. Most people are surprised at how comfortable and balance it is to dive with the equipment. 

When are they held?
The sessions are held every Wednesday evening at The Ridgeway Leisure Centre Pool, Wroughton 8:00pm, kit up 7:45pm. SATNAV SN4 9DJ

What next?
Take the TecRec course, an integrated course flow that takes you from the beginning to a highly qualified tec diver using different gas mixes.  Each level introduces you to new gear, planning and procedures appropriate to extend your diving limits.
