What will I do?
Build your confidence as a diver by understanding how to recognise and prevent stress.  Learn valuable experience in emergency management prevention and heighten your awareness of the surrounding environment.  Learn the techniques needed to deal with tired, panicked, unresponsive and unconscious divers.

There are a minimum of four confined pool sessions where you will develop problem solving and accident management techniques.  These skills are performed in a realistic but enjoyable way giving the candidate the solid foundations of understanding and successfully managing any problem. There will be lots of time to practice in group scenario situations and role-playing exercises.

Two Open Water Rescue Scenarios to complete. These accident scenarios give you the opportunity to apply all of the skills that were practiced in confined water, in a more realistic setting.

When are they held?
The sessions are held every Wednesday evening at The Ridgeway Leisure Centre Pool, Wroughton 8:00pm, kit up 7:45pm. SATNAV SN4 9DJ

What next?
You have the option of enrolling onto the SSI Dive Guide course, the first step on the SSI professional ladder. This is your ticket to international travel and opportunities to gain employment in the dive industry.  Alternatively, complete five SSI Specialty courses and earn a rating of SSI Master Diver.
